Imagine living in a villa. Imagine the privacy, the exclusivity, and the independence of living in a grand property surrounded by sprawling gardens, verdant meadows or golden beaches? Beats living in the snazziest duplex apartment with the best concierge service, doesn’t it? Like Leonardo di Caprio says in Titanic, “I’m the king of the world!” That’s how one most feel in these gigantic, almost fairy tale palace. Or, is it more like the proud king of the mansion, complete with the swollen chest and everything?
Southampton Village Oceanfront Sanctuary
Located on Long Island, New York, this villa is spread over 13,500 square feet! That sure is impressive enough to want to know more about this place. The constructed building has four storeys. If you thought 4-5 bedrooms is extravagance in New York, this villa has nine bedrooms, not to mention eleven bathrooms and a home theater. And that’s just a few of the luxuries you’ll spy in this place. Further enhancing the appeal of this place is the 1000 feet ocean front on the outside is complemented by the 1000 feet of pond front on the inside. Swim to your heart’s content here. Water babies are most welcome!
Villa La Leopolda
Villa Leopolda in France was built by Belgian King Leopold II as a present for his mistress. Any day I will take that over a grand mausoleum once I am dead. This villa used to be the former home of Bill Gates, but now it belongs to Roman Abramovich, another equally rich dude. Just to give you an idea of the extravagance that will meet your eyes here, the ten acres of lush, green lawns that ensconce the $750 million villa are tended by 50 gardeners. Mull over that for a while, will ya?
Ira Rennert House
Another jewel from the Big Apple, the Ira Rennert house is home and heaven to founder of the Renco group. I would’ve said “billionaire founder” but when you have a house, nay mansion, sprawling over 63 acres of ground, with 29 bedrooms and and 39 bathrooms, the billionaire bit needn’t really be over stressed. Valued at around $180,000,000, the Ira Rennert House also has a dining room fit for a banquet for giants, two bowling alleys, an indoor theater, two squash courts, two tennis courts, a basketball court, and game rooms. Maybe the next Olympics could be hosted here. They seem to have everything in place already!
